AMD has finally confirmed the price, dating and specifications for their first RDNA 4 graphics card. Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT will be released on March 6 and start from $ 549 and $ 599. Although these are still relatively fat stacks, AMD says they will compete with RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti of NVIDIA – and consider later to start at $ 749, with most existing models that make it priced on $ 800, which can make it over $ 800.
The RTX 5070 has not been launched and its MSRP $ 549 dies even with RX 9070, although Radeon has the advantage in the VRAM department, with 16GB to 12GB of GeForce. RX 9070 XT shares this specifications, while increasing the speed of the clock increases from 2.54GHz to 2.97GHz and adding a few RDNA calculation units (64 to 56 on RX 9070). The number of RT acceleration is also at 64 to 56 of the RX 9070, so it is also expected to be superior ray monitoring performance.
Obviously, in the absence of a reliable benchmark, we cannot say this will be best for the important amount of GPU work of making the numbers make the numbers larger. However, I have argued that NVIDIA and AMD have not competed much over the years in the past few years as they have on those secondary technologies: DLSS, FSR, frame, etc., and here, Radeon versions have been hopeless, maybe in terms of visual quality, overall performance or even support in games.
Perhaps that is why RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, in some way, like RTX is like any GPU Radeon for a long time. By accepting a similar flavor of AI and learning the machine, they will be the first card (and, for a while, only) to support FSR 4, it is self-abandoning the GPU-Agnostic rule of previous versions by based on its brain technology. In other words, FSR is becoming much more DLSS-Y. This will not be expanded to copy the multi -framed composition of DLSS 4, but the standard 2x frame gene of FSR 4 is said to be sharper than the STABLER compared to FSR 3, while the upgrade is aimed at improving the image quality. FSR 4 will also have more than 30 compatible games when launched, dozens of more than FSR 3 has done and increased to 75 by the end of 2025.
With DLSS 4 just launched, I think it would be okay if FSR 4 just need to catch up with DLSS for image quality, instead of overcoming it-and for less than $ 200, RX 9070 XT can be an attractive card if it can match the core performance of the RTX 5070 Ti. Of course, the GPU is in high demand right now, and that will not be surprising (if deep unfortunately) so that these RDNA 4 tags have similar problems about the highly appreciated and reserve partners that RTX 50 Series is being warped. AMD, a suspect, will overcome their fingers that the crowd of Ebay sellers has a full hand with the garage of RTX 5080S.
