Sunday to play some video games, what do I think? It seems impossible but find out.
Jonathan Nash died. That name may not mean anything to you, but Nash is a writer for the favorite games of Mag Amiga Power in the 90s, and he has influenced the next generation of game writers – including some of the site founders. The co -founder of RPS Kieron Gillen wrote about what makes J Nash unique in his newsletter:
Nash, in the simplest way, is a great eccentric. He is the world’s leading expert in becoming Jonathan Nash, and no one is even close. No one wrote like Him, and God knew that he had tried. You wrote a letter to Nash, and you received a Nash’s essay back. You feel a little modest, and have to go to your game to answer. It does not seem to turn off. J Nash wrote like J Nash, every time his finger went up to the keyboard.
Liz Pelly’s mood machine is a new book including history and present of Spotify music streaming service. Elizabeth Lopatto mentioned the book for The Verge and foreign about what the book talks about Spotify’s efforts to turn all listening to music into a surrounding experience.
It is a short dance from which to one of the most attractive parts – and the most harmfulness of the book: ghost artists, sometimes also called fake artists. To provide its playlist, Spotify started operating Fit Fit Fit (PFC) music that fits that playlist but is cheaper for Spotify. In 2023, according to the evaluation of the rankings and messages shared on the Slack Company, more than 100 official playlists were released almost completely by PFC, Mr. Pelly wrote. Since then, the option is even lower than that of the music created by anyone who starts to look beautiful.
Video game evaluation is often accused of being meaningful or too important, but these days I think they are usually Milquetoost when compared to the reviews of other fields. This is Lithuania on the most fierce book reviews in 2024.
“Malcolm Gladwell may have written a new book. Instead, he has created a brand extension of his HIT 20, outbreak. As a result, revenge on the outbreak, is a beader: self -help without practical advice, there is no explanation without any explanation. A farm stall serves fatty, fatty, sugar -free, fatty, fatty farm.”
Michael stormed Kayin O’Reilly, who created the Masocore I Wanna Be The Guy platform, wrote about the term “quality of life” in the game design. O’Reilly argues that this term is overcurrent and those changes need to be considered more careful about how they affect a general game.
We often treat the quality of life quality like free. Those changes are just one An improvement. The changes do not change actually The game (the definition of ‘reality’ will vary extremely depending on the person you request). Changes only make everything more beautifulMore interesting, smoother. The changes simply add over time to do something Game better. Few more men, automate the tasks repeated, smoothen the random … generally just add consistency in which the controls, UI or meta systems are fighting with you. They only make things better, right?
I have made efforts in the past year to search for local music for me in Brighton, England, and it is very useful. It has helped that Brighton music is exploding right now. Bandcamp’s daily blog interviewed some important players and described some upcoming behaviors. I see this inspiring.
Referring to Brighton’s radar situation, he said, I hope it can be known nationwide for a few years, like the quick Wunderground scene of Bristol or London. He continues to mention The Wunderground and Buzzy UK nursery like Black Midi and Black Country, New Watery, they feel unique when there are people here. Believe in management.
I can also bounce from this into something more related to the game. Just yesterday Bandcamp Daily published the introduction of Amiga Hardcore, a Microgenre music produced on the Amiga house computer from the 80s and 90s.
For me, working on Amiga is like returning to ‘my musical instrument’, the producer Hardcore has the influence of Patric Catani. It is built very stable, with super -resistant mechanical keyboard and very dynamic audio output converters. I still like the way I can forget myself and only go with music music unlike on MacBooks or PC, where there are continuous updates and waiting until the new patches are reinstalled.
Music this week is heartbreaking + failure of Thundercat. It feels like Thundercat is best known for these days as a colorful guest bass, who appears on the songs of others, such as Mac Miller and Gorillaz, but his original work is also great. I also continued to return to the tour award by a tribe called Quest this week.
