Ahhh, the ocean thigh is calm, right? And it is really warm here. Interestingly, the sound of the sea is sometimes hidden by the sound of many paths. Weird.
Of course, it is like a dragon: infinite wealth!
ED: Technically Yakuza 8, followed by Yakuza: Like a dragon (technically Yakuza 7), infinite wealth according to Ichiban Kasuga and his friends to the Sunny coast of Hawaii for the first time in the history of the series. And God, what a lovely place. Extend. Sand. All the comforting attitudes of Kasuga and the sunny attitude of Kasuga, although the situation he found himself followed. Those cases? He went to find his mother, who – I will not be broken – ended in a TV series led by Yakuza typical that you expect from Rya Ga Ga Gotoku Studio.
Surely, you have made improvements for turn -based fighting, so that the characters move like Pro Bowlers and Knock enemies like Skittles when you press the “hit” buttons. Prison to make the gate level a little less stubborn. And the leveling of personality characteristics leads to unlocking new jobs, with friends links that lead to additional moves – everything is a bit better interwoven, and creates a reward loop that promotes more when you go back to Hawaiian scammers.
However, really, the infinite wealth is very special because two things: 1) is a wealth (of things), 2) that is a story for new and old fans (especially old).
I mean “wealth” in the meaning of infinite wealth contains countless. A Crossing-Esque island that you can provide and cultivate, eventually turn it into a tourist destination with the economy that maintains itself and is completely separate from the main game. There is also Sujimon, a minigame that allows you to collect strangers, you will fight in Hawaii and moreover, before you send them to fight against other teams like you are a Ash Ketchum. Not to mention a lot of replacement and minigames, all will turn you from crying to laughter.
Running with Ichiban’s story is Kiryu, which is quite tragic on its face – he has cancer and he only lives for a few months. You will flip between playing Ichiban and Kiryu throughout the story, with Kiryu’s point of view is sad, yes, but also quite wonderful. He not only rely on new friends, he, beside you, has discovered past relationships with many acquaintances of Kiryu over the years.
Besides all the minigames and the war, some of the most interesting moments are in these reunion. When they saw how old friends had grown up, what they were doing and how they enriched Kiryu’s life and vice versa. For new fans, it is a way to learn about a heritage. For old fans, these sincere moments are a reminder of the power of mighty YakuzaveSe.
As I said in my review, thank you kindness for Yakuza.
Nic: Yakuza games always have a subtle balance of a serious, sincere crime film, and unreasonable change. That is what makes them very special. Regarding the reflection, I think the infinite wealth has decided to follow a lot of things or change with the more intense storytelling costs that I love the series, but the result is still an unbelievable glamorous role -playing game that I am really sad when I see it ending.
