There is no better news than “the game has no update for many years to receive only one update” and this week applies to Battle Brothers. Although first released eight years ago – almost until the day, its eighth anniversary will take place in a few days on March 24 – and not receive a new update in two years, the Overhypios developer has returned to the game not only with some error corrections, but also with some new content.
First, new things. There are a few new legendary places that you can explore now, the first place is a place called abandoned village. A simple name, but this is obviously good for mercenaries between the game, and it is clear that it can be found by “simply explore the world”. Overhype is keeping silent about the second one, note that it is “more difficult” and you will only find it after conquering the first one. Both will also give you the opportunity to fulfill some new items and new legendary items.
Unfortunately, you will need to start a completely new campaign to access the new content, which may be a bit more painful for those who are easy to adjust the game. The post is notified to the update clearly that “most mods will not work anymore until they are updated by their authors.” Steam usually automatically updates your games in the background, so you will have to turn off your mods and wait until they are compatible with the new update or return to the previous version of the game (Overhype’s updated post has details about how you can do that).
Regarding the corrections, there is a bundle that has been “accumulated in the past year”, from simple people to spelling errors, to rare bugs as people will occur when killing Lindwurm through the tail with poisonous weapons. You can read updated post for full list.
Perhaps it is noteworthy that the game is currently reduced by 70% for Steam right now, so it is not a bad time to jump in.
