Bungie Pink Cyborg Pussycat teases a suitable marathon introduction

Bungie has released a introduction to a introduction to the shooter shooter game. Last week, the studio teased the ability to notify some confusing tweets. The alien code is trimmed but the message is very clear: Some significant news about the upcoming FPS may soon be shared. We have not heard that news, really. But now, at least we know when it comes, thanks to the video teasey about a gun battle outside the screen has a pink cyborg cat. It was an intuitive missile for impatient fans: sitting down and waiting for this weekend.

A more thorough “revealing game” will take place on April 12, at 6 pm of the collection (that is 10 am for the US folk), according to the text is released on the screen at the end of this short video.

I don’t know what the cat is. Is this a cyber attacker who tracks you about the search for scrap, or is it just a cute marketing mascot to get love easily from animal lovers? Will you be able to raise this cat, or do you use it as a grenade? We will know more on this Saturday.

Bungie has been relatively silent about the marathon since revealed in 2023. We know it is a shooting game extracted with the focus of PVP, and it will be placed in the same universe with the marathon games of the 1990s. But it is not a direct or redo in the traditional sense. The battles will take place on the planet of Tau Ceti IV, and evaluate by aesthetics, AI Nemees of the original will have no doubt. If you are extremely curious about legends and backgrounds, the original marathon is free on Steam.

The development of Nu-Marathon was in trouble. Director Joe Ziegler reassured fans in October last year that working in the game was taking place, although he was fired in a series at the studio and the overthrow of the game’s previous director, Christopher Barrett, for allegations of wrongdoing (a decision Barrett sued Sony). Bungie certainly has loyal fans that Destiny 2 has provided for many years of distraction, but now they are facing a much more difficult direct service environment and a publisher who does not intend to eat children. In other words, the pressure is for marathon to become something more interesting than just another shooter.
