I will not lie, sometimes when I hear a series of words like “Metroidvania hand -drawn beautifully with challenging fighting, etc.” My eyes started to enamel a bit. It can be a little common! But, oh my god, that Goldman’s eternal life looks a bit wonderful, right? It was displayed last month in Nintendo’s Not Switch 2 Direct Direct, but earlier this week, it received another introduction to provide a different view, and more importantly, who will compose it.
There will be a few people who create music for the game, although the introduction is directed around Yasunori Nishiki, whom you have heard most recently in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth through a few arrangements. He also worked in some other Square Enix games, such as helping Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3, and he was the main composer for the Octopath Traveller series. I didn’t play any of them but I heard a few songs from them and all of them had a rather lovely score, so Nishiki seemed to be a pretty good received.

He will also be involved by people like Kevin Penkin (Florence, Star Wars: Visions), Mason Lieberman (Overwatch 2, League of Legends: Wild Rift) and Pete Lopy (Wargroove, Sky Rogue). The new trailer is quite cute, because it is framed when Nishiki has not started working with any music, with three other composers giving him a friendly, perhaps contrast.
Music has been made so far. I really like how the game also has an elderly protagonist, even though it is a game focusing on action. Love it when a game knows anyone can be a hero!
Currently, Goldman’s eternal life has no release date, but you can always want it on Steam at the moment.
