GTA 6 may allow you to modify your own map by ROBLOX -style creation features

Rockstar Games is considering allowing GTA 6 players to modify the game’s map by the creative patent mechanisms in the style of Roblox and Fortnite, according to a report. The idea is that people can create and sell their own custom experiences, as they do in those games – expanded based on the custom opportunities available in GTA Online. This can even be expanded to sponsors in the real world, instead of the parody versions of the familiar brands we encounter in GTA 5.

All of which is from a Digiday article quoting three anonymous industry sources with knowledge about meetings between Rockstar and some creators Fortnite, RoLlox and GTA online. Obviously, they had the Viking’s open -ending discussions about the potential to create custom experience in the upcoming game. These experiences will allow creators to modify the environment and property of the game to bring their own intellectual property – and are likely their brand sponsors – into GTA’s virtual sand boxes, notes.

Why are all of this, with the IFFY relationship in Rockstar’s history with those who try to modify their games? Because publishers always want to make more money, and especially GTA 6 is said to be expensive. It is rumored to have a price of two billion dollars so far. Therefore the pressure to add money to make money.

DIGIDAY’s article includes a number of third -party comments that pose FIVEM attention, the extremely popular mod frame from CFX.Re allows people to store their own GTA role -playing servers and support registration models. Rockstar had a war with CFX.Re as part of their larger policy for copyright infringement: they banned members of the modding group returning in 2015 and was reported to send private investigators to someone’s home. Later, in August 2023, they announced that they bought the CFX.Re group and expanded our policies on the mods to officially include people implemented by the Creative Creative community.

Digiday provides Fivem arcs as evidence that Rockstar is getting more to the content platforms created by users and Ye Olde Metaversing with GTA 6.
