Rise of the Ronin does not have very good time on PC. The game only debuted on Steam only last week, where it was quickly discovered that, oh dear, there were many problems. Just looking quickly at the game’s reviews will allow you to enter countless problems, but one of the biggest issues trimmed is a problem in which the files are being completely erased, obviously an unpleasant error, especially if you spend a lot of time in the game.
Yesterday, the Koei Tecmo developer shared an updated post about Steam noting that they were aware of the reported data error and they were “reviewing” what caused the problem. It is all good and good, but at least they have provided some temporary solutions for this problem. In part, it may depend on the directory of your computer’s documentation. Turning it off may help, but Koei does not guarantee anything. There is also a supporting page with more specific details about this specific error correction that you can see here.
The Steam post also includes a way to access your saving data by accessing a specific folder on your computer, where you can change the backup file.bin to savingata.
Steam’s cloud function can also restore your saving, but Koei Tecmo notes that if you are required to save any file to keep, you should change your local data name and store it elsewhere before using cloud data.
A suitable patch for all Ronin’s problems was promised when it debuted on the PC last week, which is expected to be “soon”, although it can still be worth holding until that update appears.
