Path of EXIL 2 Hacker temporarily robs dozens of inventories of the player through the administrator's account

A series of recent forced passwords in the Action RPG Path of EXIL 2 were recognized by the Grinding Games developer on Sunday, after a hacker had access to administrative accounts. According to the 404 Media report, this follows a number of reports on the game’s social media and social media from players who have inventory of their inventories to empty rare items.

We are completely fucked here, the game director Jonathan Rogers spoke on a podcast with Ghazzytv, explaining how the hack started with a Steam account infringed with an administrative account on the game website – effectively providing hackers to access the same customer service, Rogers said. This allows hackers to reset passwords and log in like other players.

The next bite related to the type of 404 particle parts is clearly better in explaining than me, so I will quote them.

Normally, whenever a member of the Path of EXIE 2 support staff makes changes, the event is added to the list to audit the potential later. But when it comes to placing a password, an error means that the change has been saved in the form of a notal of Muslims rather than an event, Rogers said. Hackers can then delete notes that the password has been changed, a clear effort of hackers to conceal their traces. Because of this, it was not clear for GGG what was happening with this account compromise, Rogers said.

The notes of 66 were deleted, therefore, it was implied that 66 accounts were violated, according to Rog Rogers, although he warned that GGG only kept a diary for 30 days. Interestingly, the compromise is that all the introduced by Poe2, Mr. Rog Rogers said, meaning that hackers have access before the game is even available to the public.

404 refers to these problems repeating other reports about stolen items in December, but it seems that all have been arrested and arranged right now, with Rogers reviewing the introduction of two factors for the player account after deploying a support account after the incident.

Personally, I really liked Poe 2, although I was playing it very slowly, immersed in vivid horror and wonderful soundtrack before I was sure to become paralyzed with all and turn into a goblin. “Even incomplete, this giant early access ARPG is a jewel,” Sophie Glass wrote in his review, “with a unique and flexible skill system and flexible world.”
