Pure Rock Crawling is about driving on the road across the stone terrain. It is about pumping gas pedals and twisting the steering wheel like that, so that you go forward and overcome obstacles, instead of falling back. It is Mudrunner without mud, with simplicity perhaps the result of its clear development team. It was released in October last year but I didn’t hear about it until today, when a map was added, and now I want to play it.
The Steam page is proud to have the features you want: it has soft body physics on tires, suspension that you can adjust as if you know what you are doing and a variety of different terrain to wander for free. The latest Hunk of Terrain is a map called Ghost Minine, based on photography assets created by the game manufacturer after the trip to the Death valley.
It seems that Pure Rock Crawling was released in Access Access in April 2018 and reached 1.0 in October 2024. I really didn’t know how I had never heard of it before, but it seemed that its 1.0 release has constantly had a new updated information in the months since then.
I liked Spintires back when it appeared about ten years ago, then lost its mark when it was bogged down in the mud of controversy and was succeeded by Mudunners. There is something extremely satisfied about standing up and overcoming an obstacle, whether you are driving a large rig or even a dirt bike in a game like testing. I am not interested in high scores or improving my time, but I will be able to pull myself up a mountain.
Pure Rock Crawling decreased by 50% with the release of a new map, making it £ 6.39/$ 7.49/€ 7.39 at the time of writing.
