Crikey, now it still looks very difficult in the industry, is it not Folks? Yesterday unfortunately brought the news that another online game was stopping working, with the studio with it. In this version of the story we have heard too often, it is the Specter Divide, a first -person shooting game for free tactics with all the ads that you control your own character and the copy, allowing you to switch between them while flying.
It was definitely a new genre, but former editor of our review, Ed wondered if it was enough to make a difference to the attack of Valorant or Counter. The evidence is that the upcoming closing of the developer Mountaintop Studios just six months after the game is released, it is not so.
The studio shared the news on the Specter Divide X account (formerly Twitter), with a long message explaining that the game has not found enough growth for two weeks since the first part. Basically, all has come to the fact that it is simply not enough players and revenue to “cover the daily expenses of Specter and Studio”.

Right now, Mountaintop is expected to offline the offline specter within the next 30 days, with new purchases that have been disabled and if you have spent any money on the game since the first part of the launch, you will be refunded.
Mountaintop also noted that they did everything possible to keep the game by taking a publisher, finding more sponsorships or even receiving themselves. The post also pointed out some “stumbling” in the premiere of the Specter Divide may have contributed to the door. Obviously, there are some powerful feedback relates to the cost of things like weapons and characters, which makes the developer apologize and cut the price.
However, it is undeniable that it is a bad time for direct service projects like this, even if you do all the right things and have a really unique idea. Specter Divide is at least better than that of Sony’s paid hero, who lasted all three weeks before being offered offline forever. This is the hope that all mountain developers can land on their feet.
