The counterattack modder is redoing the classic shooter and they are using the official SDK of Valve to do that

There are two shooting games that I imagine will never die, because they seem to continue to be extremely old and many other games appear during that time: Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike (both Valve games, funny enough to have a source (sorry)). Counter-Strike 2, reappeared in 2023, is the most played shooting game of all time on Steam in reality, but even now the original game is still quite popular. There are more than 16,000 players now. And although it may not be informal, a group of operators together redo version 1.6 of the game.

Having the title of CS: Legacy, the group behind it wants you to know that this is not just a fancy mod of the classic shooter, but also a “from the beginning” remake made with completely custom code and original property. However, it should still have the same feeling, because the entire incident is being created in the official SDK 2013 of the developer’s 2013 source, although there are some tinkles with the output, shader and a few other systems.

According to the trailer (which you may have a conversation above), it will come to Steam Access Access for a while this year. It is an independent thing that can definitely suggest that it has all clearly from Valve, this will not be surprising how to make the studio cold with this type-I will remind you of that is the semi-final life of OG MESA that appeared in half a decade ago!

I am not a shooter, I have never even played counterattack, but I really like a good fan project like this, and evaluated from the trailer comments, the fans of the original shooter seemed to be pumped back to this.
