The friendly skateboarding game Olliolli World and its roller roller has been canceled on Steam without the reason. If you visit the store page for Olloli World, you will now see the classic Delisted message: “Notice: Olliolli World is no longer available on the Steam store.” The same thing appears on the Rollerrom page. No, we’re not sure why.
Lock up, there are classes owned here. Skating games are developed by Roll7 and published under the private department. But Roll7 was closed last year by the owner of Uber-TWO Interactive, who is said to have sold the private division to Haveli Investments, a equity company from Austin in the US. Haveli is said to sponsor a new joint venture from employees who left Annapurna Interactive last year, although the new company had no name.
Bloomberg reported (pay) that this new company will “inherit games and franchise of the private department”. That may include Roll7 works published by Private Division, Olliolli World and Rollerrom. It seems reasonable that Taken-Two pressed a large ‘shutdown’ switch for those games on Steam, now they do not own them and cannot benefit them, before the Haveli-Exna-Annapurna joint venture can control Steam pages.
The previous games in the Se -Ri Ollolli are still available – they are published according to Devolver Digital. And maybe the lost games will be dependent when the dust settles. It would be a shame if not, when considering the Ollolli world is very good, it gave me blisters. And the roller is a similar explosion of Adrenaline.
