Recently I had three hours of practice with Doom: The Dark Ages, including a trip on Dragonback and a fist battle with a large MECH. But another series saw me destroying demons at one of the more extended levels, discovering this latest FPS is promising. For a man, I decided to throw all the difficulties sliding up in an effort to hurt myself mentally and physically. When I did, I discovered that there were some interesting options for players who wanted a brutal challenge. I have also recorded it, so you can see its chaos, silly and suddenness can be received (and so you can say “I will do better” than the disgusting journalist).
Doom: Dark era – All options are difficult to the maximum

As you can see, death comes quickly and pickups hardly gives you a little health or a few bullets. Your Parry – a common reliable defensive measure – is reduced to a sophisticated plate that works only in a second. The whole game is also accelerated up to 150% of normal speed – this makes things a little crazy.
All this is done through a set of options that make it much more difficult than previous games. You can still choose a simple pre -settings, but for anyone who wondered how they could customize their game building to become difficult. properThis is an incident of difficult options that you can adjust in Doom: The Dark Ages. Maybe these things may be changed before release, but anyway.
- The level of difficulty – Allow you to quickly choose a difficult installation. “Slayer ambition” is the lowest and “Nightmare” is the highest. But you can push everything further into extremes with the options below.
- Parry window – There are many flashy attacks, and this determines the level of forgiveness for the time window for Parry, from “small” to “big”
- Advanced targets – Auto Aim with a fancy name. This installation reduces the exact demand if it is turned on.
- The attacks are empowered – This makes the enemy more likely to be interrupted by their attacks when attacked. It can be turned on or off.
- Damage to players – Modify the level of the devil’s attack to hurt you. Ranges from 50% to 500%.
- Damage to the devil – Modify your attack level to hurt the enemy. Go to 50% low and up to 1000% high.
- The invasion of the enemy – Many enemies are more likely to attack at the same time when this is high and they will attack more often. There are four settings from “least” to “the most”.
- Game speed – Simply slow down or speed up the game. Go to 150% high and low up to 50%.
- DAZE TIME – Determining the time of the devil is still “stunned” and easily executed and “glorious public”. The slides from 50% to 150%.
- The speed of the enemy – How to quickly attack the enemy moving, with the five installation from “slow” to “fast”. Not all the bullets are affected, warning the game.
- Resource value – The lower this, the less your health, armor and bullets for each individual pickup. Comes with five installation from “low” to “high”.
For the way it really feels when playing with all this is modified to enhance combat – it is terrible. I sweat in normal conditions in Doom games, the intensity of shootings requires a lot of fast thoughts with very little breathing room or death time at any level. Speeding up the game is enough to make my nose bleed. I will stick with a regular pre -settings, thanks.
I also tried the opposite, filming all the sliders down and turned the game into a slow -moving shooting game of small steps and exploded immediately bad guys. And yes, this is simply Un-Doom Doom. But it is enough to prove that for the purpose of approaching alone, it can be helpful for some people.
Doom: The dark age will be released on May 15 and it is one of our most anticipated games of the year.
